The Kite Runner (Riverhead Essential Editions)

The Kite Runner (Riverhead Essential Editions) - Khaled Hosseini This book haunted me. Extremely well written - lyrical. The author must have a gift for languages, as he learned English as an adult (I think? Don't remember...) and the book is written so well. I learned so much about current events.

This book is grueling and gruesome, and completely shocking, but redemptive, too. It is worth it. I'm not sure I have the strength to read it again, though.
